Pancakes are normally served with a sweet sauce such as a chocolate dip. But there are other options for people who don’t prefer to eat sweets that much and are looking for a low-calorie option. Let us teach you a way to make traditional pancakes in not so traditional manner.

Spinach & cheese pancake



  1. 2 eggs
  2. 1 ¼ cup of flour
  3. 1 cup whole milk
  4. 1 teaspoon black pepper
  5. 1 teaspoon salt
  6. 1 ½ tablespoon olive oil
  7. Handful or more spinach
  8. 150 grams of grated cheddar cheese

Directions of Recipe

  1. Take a bowl and add 2 large eggs in it and whisk them
  2. Add 1 ¼  cup of flour,1 cup whole milk, 1 teaspoon black pepper,1 teaspoon salt and add these in the bowl containing eggs
  3. Whisk the whole mixture
  4. Add 1 ½ tablespoon of olive oil, Batter should coat the back of a spoon  
  5. Roughly chop a handful of spinach
  6. Brush the inside of a pan with oil or butter and turn the heat on medium low
  7. Pour 4 tablespoon of batter in the pan
  8. Tilt the pan to coat evenly and cook for 40 seconds, flip the pancake to repeat the process on the other side
  9. Add some spinach at one side and some grated cheese on top
  10. Fold the pancake, press it gently and cook until it’s brown
  11. Flip and repeat the process on the other side
  12. Your pancakes are ready to be served

Tips for the recipe

Serve it with the sauce of your preference, you can add some crisps to it as well to compliment the flavour of the dish
